Kinky Curly Product Review
Meet Keziah Wheeler, the founder of Videri Skincare, a company that specializes in sulfate-free shampoo and body wash. Keziah’s passion for skincare began when she was a teenager struggling with acne. After trying countless products that made her skin worse, she started researching the ingredients in her products and discovered that sulfates were a common irritant.
Determined to create a line of products that was gentle and effective, Keziah and her brother Austin, spent years perfecting their family formulas. She sourced natural, organic ingredients that were free from sulfates, parabens, and other harmful chemicals. She also worked with a team of dermatologists to ensure that her products were safe for all skin types.
Videri Skincare is thus born. Check out top selling Videri Zero Sulfate Shampoos HERE.
This “shappin” style was created using Kinky-Curly Curling Custard along with Kinky Curly Come Clean shampoo and Knot Today leave in. After I washed, detangled and moisturized I parted a square on top of her head where I created 5 rolling twists. The twists were a little stiff due to the Curling Custard, but they held for days! I braided the remaining sections of hair on each side into one braid a piece and I made four braids in the back, putting Curling Custard on each section before braiding. The next day before school I took the braids out for a really nice braid out, we loved it!
We have been using the following Kinky-Curly products since February of this year.

Come Clean Shampoo – I really like the shampoo , it doesn’t dry her hair out, it gets rid of any build up and leaves her hair shiny and healthy looking.
Knot Today – I also really like this detangler, I’ve read mixed reviews about it, but it really works well for us. The tangles side right out with this and a wide tooth comb. It is not moisturizing but it is a good detangler.
Curling Custard – The texture of this product is just that, a custard feel, it doesn’t really bother me, although I do prefer creamy products. It smells great..like vanilla, possibly? It does make her hair a little crunchy especially when the hair first dries. After the first day we will spritz with a water/conditioner mix to revive her curls and they become softer and not as crunchy feeling. Her curls always look nice with this product and they stay looking good, they aren’t frizzed out by the days end. I love to use this product for braid/twist outs. When I use it for braid outs and twist outs her hair is not crunchy, as long as I don’t get too much. The Curling Custard produces amazing braid outs and twist outs for us!
The company says use Kinky-Curly products in conjunction with each other and no other brands or products because it may cause undesirable effects. I still condition with HEHH (old formula) and moisturize with Bee Mine Dejas Hair Milk and it doesn’t seem to create any problems.
This is Ds hair after being washed, conditioned, detangled, moisturized, and having the Curling Custard raked through her hair.
Her hair is still very wet:

It is still damp at this point:
Here it is completely dry:
