Criss Cross Cornrow Hair Style How to

criss cross cornrow tutorial

This was my first time ever doing any type of criss cross cornrow, so bear with me. While it may not look perfect, I will continue to practice it and I’ll show you how to do it so you can, too!

  • I started this style on clean, dry, moisturized hair that had been banded and stretched overnight. I parted from ear to ear and cornrowed the back half straight down. She actually wore her hair like this, as a style, with to regular braids in front to until the next evening when I decided to attempt the criss cross braids.

How to do criss sross cornrows

  • To begin the criss cross section I parted a row down the middle and did a basic cornrow

  •  Then I parted out sections on either side, parted each of those in half and clipped the sections I wasn’t working with out of the way. I began braiding, once I got to the center part I crossed the braid over the center braid and began adding in hair from the next section. Make sense? Hope so, I continued on, doing the other braid the same way. Then I finished the rest of her hair with regular cornrows.

So, there you have it our very first ever criss cross cornrow style! If you try this style or if you’ve done it before we would love for you to share it with us on our Facebook page!!
